Spring is coming soon and we can't wait to start taking photos with bright flowers and green grasses. There are so many people getting engaged and celebrating their love for each other. It is always so fun meeting new couples and hearing their stories of how they met.
Ben and I met at BSC in Mrs. Cashmans speech class. Ben helped me design a poster for a class project. He sat in front of me and would always turn around to make me smile. At the time I was coaching 12U girls hockey and I asked him to help me with practice. He played goalie for a practice and it was the best time ever. I had no idea I could have so much fun with someone. I am so lucky to have you Ben. I love your guts.
Put a smile on your loved ones face this morning by sharing your story.
How did you meet the love of your life?
You know it when you feel balanced.
When the segments of your life
are moving in harmony.
When your mind feels sharp
your body feels light
And your spirit is strong.
Seek that harmony.
Animals are a huge part of what helps our lives stay balanced. Between all the dogs we baby sit and our own to cats they helps us remember to either have a rest and cuddle or get off our buns and get out side.
Lets have a good breakfast this morning. What should we have? A little bit of simple coffee, some nature, a bowl full of colorful granola and a side of art. Don't forget to take your time because once your finished todays adventure begins.
Love can be liberating.
Or it can be confining.
Long-lasting love must be without conditions.
It must allow room for growth.
Unconditional love has no limits.
Ben and I are trying to plan our next local adventure. Do you know of any fun places or things to do this March?
This weekend we went out to our fire pit and cook breakfast. My parents ended up stopping by and brought some extra eggs and bacon. I walked back to our house to get more water for our coffee. When I came back my dad was singing cowboys songs and yelling,
“Good morning Sundown neighbors!”
This is one of the reasons why I love him. If he's feeling happy and filled joy he's got to let it out somehow. He belts songs I have never heard serenading the entire house or sometimes the neighborhood.
Good thing our neighbors done mind.
That has been our mantra for years. It has helped us get through sticky situations more than once. If we ever are stranded, lost, worried or just can't see our way out of something we spin it into an adventure. By making it into an adventure, it turns into problem-solving as a team.
"Keep positive because why not?"
I love being from Canada but North Dakota has been my home for 15 years. I remember moving here from the mountains and worrying, how will I ever get used to this. I had no idea how beautiful and special North Dakota is. North Dakota has shaped my life in so many wonderful ways. I have met my best friends, found the most amazing husband and made a beautiful home here. Who knew North Dakota was was so amazing and filled countless adventures.
You have 24 hours to do something to affect your life positively. This day is going to pass anyway, so may as well just make the best of it and do something to benefit you. Clean a drawer in your home, eat a healthy snack, send a thank you card, take a moment for a walk or do a project. What would make you feel accomplished at the end of the day?
Make your goal real and hold yourself accountable.
What is your goal for today?
Walking outside we look around and are so thankful for everything in our lives. We walk north of our home and instantly we are in nature. If we are lucky deer pass us in the distance while the dogs run zigzags looking for birds.
“Only today is certain.
We’re not guaranteed tomorrow.
Plan for tomorrow.
But live for today.”
I had to write up the intern today. Caught him taking a long nap in the break room. He wasn't even embarrassed.
Kids these days I tell ya what.
