This weekend Ben and I decided it was time to go for a little hike up north of our home. It was so great to get out and enjoy the river again. Ben recently bought an old film camera and started using what is left of the film in it. Its going to be fun to get the film developed to see if we are actually real photographers or not haha.
I cant imagine shooting weddings with film! In my mind that would be a nightmare filled with so many unknowns. You really have to be confident in your skills when using film. It is a good little reminder of how much we need to appreciate our digital cameras.
Ben and I have a friend who makes the most amazing meals. Seriously, her Instagram is magazine perfect. The photos are always full of grains, kale, quinoa, garden fresh veggies and all kinds of other organic healthy garbage. Her photos are sickeningly amazing. Ben was talking about what kind of dinners we have and its for the most part steak and potatoes. She said her husband would freak out happy if she cooked like that for him haha. So eat your heart out @rhubarb_venison
Grass is always greener on the other side ;)
I am still just so in love with my Bradley Mountain backpack. We have been using it for our camera bag and have taken it on a few hiking trips. Every time I look at it I hear it saying “Pack me and go to Europe”. Ben and I have tried to pack light on the last few trips and it makes a huge difference having everything in one bag. Its not easy to part with all the things you think you need but it is so worth it when you don't have to check bags, pay fees, or rely on someone to help you with your lounge.
Tag a friend who packs way to much crap on trips and needs to stop.
Have you been to @threefold new office yet? Those guys know how to Make a creative space... Amazing. Recently I had the pleasure of working with them on the office interior. They told me they wanted the quote above as a constant reminder of the quality they want to bring to the table. I think the quote couldn't be more fitting. If there is anyone in town you CAN'T IGNORE, its Keenan and Caleb. Great work, great people. You can't beat that. Follow their work here: @threefold
Ill never forget walking to the top of this hill to a castle in Slovakia. Kids were returning to their cottage homes on wooden sleds. We could smell wood burning in their fireplaces and see a beautiful glow from their windows. By the time we got to the top of the hill it was dust. We looked out over the village. It was beautiful. We finished the night trying amazing wines in a winery that had been there for generations. It was spectacular.
Its never to late to find old friends. They’re like Gems. Links to your past. Sea anchors in a storm. They bring solidity. A chance for reflection. A link in our life chain. A continuum.

Surprisingly after moving so much in my life I have been able to keep and make great friends. I don't know how anyone kept up with friends who lived far away in the old days without the internet. Its quite amazing being able to set a Skype dinner date with a lunch date with my cousins in New Zealand during our tomorrow haha.
(it totally sounds like nonsense but its real)
