What a fun night we had and my gosh were we lucky with the weather it is so hard to believe this was only last week with it being so cold and rainy lately. Thank you for coming out to our home and bringing your little fur baby. It was so much fun seeing the two of you together playing and joking around. Its heartwarming to see such a true love.
Joey and Elizabeth your wedding was the most laid back I think we have ever been a part of it was so fun. I think one of my favorite parts was when Joey was getting super nervous at the alter and her officiant/Best friend had his head in the game and got the DJ to play “SexyBack” by Justin Timberlake. Joey and him started club dancing it was so funny. Your silliness and love that we saw showed just how wonderful of a couple you are. We wish you all the love and happiness thank you for sharing your beautiful wedding day with us.
Where do I start…… This day was fun!
It was a beautiful day with amazing people we had a blast getting to know family and friends. It was so funny to see how excited the groomsmen got when I told them to go and get their guns for our group photo….. don't worry mom we got some without the guns but dang if it didn't get those boys excited for photos.
Taylor and Jayme are such a sweet couple it was so fun watching Taylor be in aww or Jayme walking down the aisle. We truly saw love.
Last week we drove to Napoleon and met up with this sweet couple. It was so fun walking around the farm and meeting all the super cute farm animals. I loved including Krista’s beautiful horse in their engagement photos. He played a special part in Michaels proposal. When they told me their engagement story it gave me goose bumps with how thoughtful Michael was to include her horse Kenny.
Ryan and Sarah what a fun day this was. I didn't think we could have any more fun then we did up at your family coal mine dodging bull snakes for your engagement photos. If you have never met these two love birds they are great. One of my favorite things about them is their love for their colleges, that just so happen to be HUGE Rivals. But through their differences their love prevails with just a hint of cheeky.
I don't want to choose favorites but I think the girls won this hand with their sneaky UND photo op.
Last weekend we shot Haley and Erics wedding. At the beginning of they day we were watching our weather every second thinking it might storm. With Ben and my luck this year it was going to rain for the ceremony. Turns out it did not rain and it was absolutely beautiful.
Its not often that we have a bride that wants to have the first look as she is walking down the isle with all of their friends and family watching. I always look forward to this because it is so emotional and special to share that moment with everyone. One of the special moments of the day was during the ceremony one of the ring doggie cuddled up in the train of Haley's dress.
Everyone even the little fur babies were included in their wedding.
What a great day! All day we were crossing our fingers that all our photos could be outside and we lucked out. We were able to drive out to Black Leg Ranches old homestead to take our couple photos. In the distance we could hear deep thunder rolling in and we made sure to get back just in time. As Aimee was walking down the aisle the rain came down and we were so cozy in the main barn. It was so intimate and sweet. It was a perfect evening.
This past weekend we had so much fun with Rylie and Rory. All week we were watching the weather and crossing our fingers for it not to rain. Friday evening they decided to take their chances and get set up in Rylies Grandpas back yard to keep the tradition of family weddings at his home. Driving up there were so many beautiful trees. Later we found out that every tree planted in the yard was planted when a new member of the family was born. My favorite part of the day was right before the first kiss it started poring rain. This amazing bride and groom stood under that great big tree, embraced the rain and gave each other the most beautiful romantic rain kiss..... it was epic.
When Sarah asked if we would go out to her families old coal mine way out of town I thought for sure we were going to get murdered. But curiosity prevailed and we agreed to travel up north for their engagement session. Long story short we are both still alive and have some awesome photos to show for it. Ryan and Sarah you guys were so natural in front of the camera you made our jobs easy. We loved that you brought Scout along he was such a good boy. My favorite part was when your dad found a huge Bull snake right under where Ben was just shooting from. If it were me I would have freaked.
Congratulations you guys and we cant wait to celebrate your wedding.
We were so exited to take you both to Dillons (our sons) favorite spot. The long golf cart ride was worth the location because man did we have some pretty light to work with. My favorite part of this shoot was when we were all done and we got the golf cart stuck and Lexi had to drive it out with us pushing it. My second favorite part is when we got James to take his boots off for the water shots. James you are such a good sport those photos are some of my faves.
We have the pleasure of documenting weddings all over the Midwest. This blog is a fun sneak peek for those brides and grooms.
